As your baby approaches his or her first birthday, as parents you'll experience exciting anticipation. Of course, you'll want to celebrate this momentous occasion with friends and family. A Mickey Mouse birthday party theme is an excellent choice.
IDEAS FOR MICKEY MOUSE BIRTHDAY INVITATIONS
You'll want to start the party excitement by sending out some fun invites. To make it easy on yourself, opt for ready-mades and jazz them up a bit with things like sequins, glitter, pearls, buttons, etc.
If you're up for making the invitations from scratch, here's an idea something to consider. As these will take a little time to create, be sure to start the project early. All you'll need is a pair of scissors, glue, and some red, white and black construction papers.
The invites will ultimately be shaped into Mickey's head. Create them by cutting out 1 large and 3 small black circles, 1 red half-circles, and 1 large and 2 small white circles.
To make Mickey's face come alive, glue 2 small black circles to the large black circle. Glue the large white circle to the large black circle. To make his eyes and mouth, glue the two white circles on top of the face. Glue the small black circle in the middle of his face. Lastly, glue the red half-circle where the mouth should go.
Write out party info on the back of the invitation using a white gel pen or crayon. Your guests are sure to enjoy receiving your fabulous invites.
GAME IDEAS
Now that the invitations are out of the way, your mind may now turn to think about possible games for your guests to play.
If older kids and adults will be attending your event of the year, you might want to have some game options for them also. Disney trivia cards are always a fun and easy option. All you have to do is write down a bunch of questions relating to Disney and of course, Mickey Mouse. Form teams and have your guests take turns answering the questions. This game is both fun and educational.
To keep your toddler guests entertained, be sure to have sufficient activities. They would be thrilled to play with some Disney toys or "color" a picture of Mickey. You can also organize various areas that provide specific type of activities, along with a teen helper to assist. Things like balls, musical toy instruments, soft blocks, pull toys, stack toys, and chunky knob puzzles are all great options that could amuse the youngsters for hours. If the party is outside, you might want to have some toddler ride-upon toys available also.
IDEAS FOR FOOD
Last, but far from least will be your food ideas for your Mickey Mouse birthday party.
For the older kids and adults, you could set-up a pizza-making station and let everyone make their own mini pizzas in the shape of Mickey. Provide each with three circles of dough placed together to form his head. Add pizza sauce and cheese and a few toppings to create the face. Bake for about 20 minutes.
For little ones, mac and cheese is always a favorite. You can serve it up so it has a little face with tiny cut-up hotdog pieces.
You could make or buy some Mickey cupcakes that are topped with edible mouse figurines on top.
To enjoy your little one's 1st birthday, be sure to plan ahead and start early so not to stress yourself unnecessarily. This way, you'll be able to host a great Mickey Mouse birthday to remember.
